【国指定：史跡】大和井

〔やまとがー〕

大和井（やまとがー・井戸）は平良市街の東北に位置する泉（洞井）である。「雍正旧記（ようせいきゅうき）」（1727年）に記されている内容から、1720年ごろに掘られたと考えられている。井戸の周りは大小の切り石を円形に積み上げてあり、上り下りの通路には石段が設けられている。

伝承によれば、首里王府派遣の在番役人など一部の者のみが使用し、一般の人々には開放されなかったといわれている。かつては泉にいたるまでに２ヶ所の門があって、水守りもいたとの言い伝えがある。宮古島の人々と水とのかかわり合い、石工技術の見事さを示す遺石造跡として類例のないものである。

【National Designation：Historic Site】Yamato-ga

Yamato-ga is a spring (hollowed well) that is located at the north-eastern side of Hirara city. It is referenced in the Yoseikyuki (written in 1727) and thus, it is believed to have been dug around 1720. Around the well are cut stones, large and small, piled up and placed in a circular form, and there are stone steps laid along the path leading to and from the spring.

According to lore, it is said that the use of the spring was limited, only used by officials dispatched by the royal government in Shuri, and other such people. In the past, there were two gates that led to the spring, and it is told that there were guards to oversee the safety and use of the water. This rare stone site tells the relationship between the people of Miyakojima and the water that flows here, as well as the spectacular stonemasonry skills of the time.

【國家指定：史跡】大和井

大和井是一口位於平良市街東北的泉洞井。『雍正舊記』（1727年）中有文記載，該井於1720年前後挖掘。井的周圍用大小不同的石塊堆積成圓形狀，上下通道設有石階。

據說，這口井當時只有首里王府派遣的當值官員等一部分人才能使用，並沒有向一般百姓開放。傳言過去在通向泉水源頭的路上有兩道門和守護泉水的人。大和井不但表達了宮古島的人們和水的密切關係，還展現了石匠的精湛技術，做為一個石造遺跡實屬獨具一格。

【국가 지정：사적】야마토가

야마토가는 히라라시 동북쪽에 위치하는 우물(동굴우물)이다.
“요세이구기(雍正旧記)”(1727년)에 기재된 것에 의하면, 1720년 경에 판 우물로 추정된다. 우물 주변에는 크고 작은 돌이 원형으로 쌓여 있고, 오르내리는 길에는 돌계단이 설치되어 있다. 전설에 의하면 슈리왕정부에서 파견된 관리 등, 일부의 사람들만 사용하였고, 일반인에게는 개방되지 않았다고 한다. 예전에는 우물에 이르는 두 군데의 문이 있었고, 물을 지키는 사람도 있었다고 한다. 미야코섬 사람들과 물과의 관계, 석공 기술의 훌륭함을 보여주는 유례가 없는 석조 유적이다.
